The Infusion Center at Pella Regional provides patients with a safe and comfortable outpatient setting to receive infusion therapy. This allows patients to receive the services they need without hospitalization or restrictions on activity. Specially trained registered nurses provide a wide variety of nursing care to administer infusion therapy.
At Pella Regional, you receive compassionate care delivered by nurses who focus on your specific treatment. You can expect the same services you’d receive at much larger hospitals—but with the added benefit of our nurse’s personal attention—in a location close to home.
Your physician can order your therapy or consult one of our physicians to provide the care you need. Services include:
- Administration of IV antibiotics and other medications
- Blood transfusions
- Hydration therapy
- Infusion drugs for autoimmune diseases such as the care of Crohn's disease or osteoporosis
- Iron infusions for anemias and deficiencies
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Specialized therapies for ongoing gastroenterology and neurology concerns
Our nurses are oncology certified and assist Dr. Wehbe and Dr. Westberg for their days in clinic at Pella Regional to encourage seamless, collaborative care for those patients on chemotherapy.
Knowledge is power. We welcome your questions and concerns about your treatment. If you want to learn more about your condition and therapy prescribed, our nurses have the resources to assist you.
Comfort and Care
To provide you with a pleasant environment while receiving treatment, we have comfortable loungers with individual televisions. You are also encouraged to bring your electronics (WIFI available) or a book to keep you occupied.
A meal may be offered if the infusion lasts several hours and conflicts with lunch.
Visitors are welcome, but are limited to 2 in order to be respectful of other patients.
The Infusion Center at Pella Regional is located on the lower level of the hospital. All patients should park in the north lot and come through Entrance #4 with the awning.
