Empty Cradle Support Group
Third Thursday of the month, 12-1 pm
Lower Level of the Comfort House
Empty Cradle is Pella Regional’s support for moms, dads, grandparents, and loved ones, who have lost a child due to miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death. The goal of this group is to connect families and friends who have experienced a similar loss. It provides them with a place to share ideas on coping, exchange resources and find meaningful ways to honor and remember their babies in their lives. Everyone is welcome, no matter where they are in the grief process and no matter how long it has been since the loss.
Hospice Library
Located in the Comfort House, the library is well stocked with books and videos to help in personal recovery. There are resources for young widows, children's reactions to death, father's grief, surviving suicide, death of an adult child, miscarriage, physical and emotional care of the dying, etc.
