They did their best to get me in to a walk in clinic as soon as possible. No complaints.

First visit with Dr Dykstra. After having same clinic for 20 years I was nervous to switch. But I loved his care and he listened to me. I couldn't be happier that I made the switch.

Just remind front staff to smile with their eyes and voices, esp with these masks. I came in as brand new pt, somewhat apprehensive. Front line people can make or break a first impression.

Yes, the physician's assistant was very efficient and very personable. And then after my appointment and a blood test that was taken, they followed up with a phone call at home answered my questions told me that the progress on the in the results of the blood test, and then also scheduled a new prescription for me, so I was very satisfied. Thank you.

I like the way he explained things to me, and he listened to me very good and the nurse was real nice. So if they just keep the work up, man, and they probably get it more patient. And my friends and thing, I recommended to him, and I'll be glad to recommend other people to him. he seemed like a pretty good doctor. I do know, I just met him so I can just only I guess by my feeling, you know, you can look at the person you until about. They almost history, what they about. But I like it and II problem, you know. Get to know a little bit more. I hope. And that's it.

Dr. Dykstra is a very thorough doctor. He is GREAT!! If he doesn't know the answer to a health concern that he hasn't seen before he will admit it and get another doctor to help him with the diagnosis.

Yes, I would like to say that Dr. Dykstra is an excellent doctor. Most attentive, very caring about his patient since I answered questions and a wonderful doctor. This is why I keep coming back to him and trusting him with my care. I appreciate that. And your clinic. Thank you so much. Bye. Bye.

The receptionist and Dr. Dykstra's nurse were both wonderful. Dr. Dykstra's hubris, however, entered the room before he did. He was very apathetic to the entire visit and seemed more concerned with the fact that he had to treat me than with actual care. He asked several times why I didn't just wait to schedule & meet with my primary, but in the same breath admonished me for waiting to bring concerns up. He did not write the report in full. He mentioned that I turned down conservative measures but failed to say why. The reason why which I did provide, was because he was trying to treat what he thought was simply carpal tunnel syndrome, when I mentioned several times that it is numbness on my entire left side - not just my arm or hand. The only time in which he seemed alarmed was after I provided a urinalysis. He mentioned there was blood in my urine. Of course, there was, I was menstruating. Had he even remotely paid attention or asked, he would know that small detail. In his report, he kept reducing my complete left side numbness to simply tingling. I mentioned several times that the symptoms I exhibit are heightened when I am allergic to a medication. Rather than inquiring more, he kept referring me to my physiatrist. Dr. Dykstra seemed more interested in treating the symptoms than in treating the root issue. Holistic care and Christian compassion are things on which Pella Medical Clinic prides itself. I received neither from Dr. Dykstra. Pella has a long way to go in practicing actual compassion, empathy, and willingness to see their patients as humans.
