The First Reading Book for Pella Regional Babies

First Books for Babies at Pella RegionalPELLA, Iowa—A new book will be added to the bag for new moms and babies at Pella Regional Health Center starting this week. Through a generous gift from the Pella Community Foundation and Families First of Pella, nearly 300 new moms and babies will receive a board book to encourage parents to read to their newborn.

Jodi Bokhoven, director of Families First of Pella, presented the books to Pella Regional’s obstetrics nurse manager, Karen Westercamp, and obstetrics nurse leader, Pam Wolver.

The main goal of Families First of Pella is to enable parents and children to make a positive impact in the world.
