Tami Fairbanks Receives Quarterly DAISY Award
Pella, Iowa-- Pella Regional Health Center is proud to announce that Tami Fairbanks, resident of Otley, in Emergency is a DAISY recipient. The DAISY program is a national award, given at the local level, to registered nurses who exemplify extraordinary nursing. The focus is on the special touches and human consideration that these nurses give to their patients.
Excerpt from Tami’s nomination:
“Tami is an amazing nurse, clinical instructor, mentor, mother, friend, and person. She is extremely intelligent and able to impart her vast clinical knowledge to her colleagues, students, and patients for their betterment. Tami is able to use her experience to make a lasting positive impact on each person she makes contact with. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from her and would jump at the chance in the future. Tami exemplifies extraordinary nursing!”
Fairbanks received a certificate that reads: "In deep appreciation of all you do, who you are, and the incredibly meaningful difference you make in the lives of so many people." She was also given a sculpture called A Healer’s Touch, hand-carved by artists of the Shona Tribe in Africa.
