Sherry Kubalsky —September Shining Star for Pella Regional
PELLA, Iowa— Sherry Kubalsky, Hospice, was selected as September Shining Star by co-workers at Pella Regional Health Center.
Kubalsky, resident of Ankeny, was nominated based on Attitude, Appearance, Commitment, and Sense of Ownership.
Excerpts from her nomination:
“Sherry truly exemplifies service over self. She works tirelessly to provide for the patients and families of Hospice each and every day. Her wealth of knowledge and experience as a social worker has brought a new light to our organization. Above her daily tasks, Sherry has also brought laughter and joy to our employees and patients each holiday season. With her costumes for every occasion she has made a difference for our organization. On Good Friday we were blessed by a visit from her dressed as the Easter Bunny. Sherry made an effort to touch the hearts of every department at hospital. The laughter, hugs and smiles shared in the Pella Medical Clinic with the children was priceless. Dr. Smith even had her come into the surgery waiting room for a mom and her children to be blessed. This spirit and heart is what living our mission of healthcare and healing services with Christian compassion is all about.”
Shining Star is a reward and recognition program at Pella Regional designed to acknowledge an employee each month that demonstrates outstanding standards of behavior and inspires others to do their best.
Kubalsky will receive a $100 gift, a plaque, and will automatically be included in the Shining Star of the Year award.
