Pella Regional Establishes Patient Assessment Center

PELLA, Iowa –Pella Regional Health Center has established a Patient Assessment Center (PAC) that will begin seeing patients with respiratory or infectious symptoms beginning on Friday, March 27. The PAC will be located off of Jefferson Street (map below) to the west of the Orthopaedic Center on Pella Regional’s campus.

Patients presenting with cough, upper respiratory symptoms, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, sinus or ear infection, and other respiratory or infectious symptoms will be seen at the new PAC instead of the Walk-In Clinic at Pella Medical Clinic. The Walk-In Clinic at Pella Medical Clinic will still be available to treat patients with minor injuries, urinary tract infections, minor allergic reactions, minor burns, rashes, insect bites, minor cuts and scrapes and sprains as long as they do not have any respiratory or infectious symptoms. Please call Pella Medical Clinic at 641-621-2200 if you have a regularly scheduled appointment and are experiencing respiratory or infectious symptoms.

“To protect our patients, their families, and our staff, we believe the Patient Assessment Center will help provide necessary care during this uncertain time while limiting exposure for staff and other patients who still need medical care in the clinic setting,” said Craig Wittenberg, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Pella Regional.
