National Volunteer Week – Thank You!

PELLA, Iowa This week is National Volunteer Week, April 7-13, and Pella Regional Health Center salutes the volunteers who play a vital role in keeping Pella Regional working so well.

In 2018, 9,276 volunteer hours were logged at Pella Regional! These volunteers make a huge difference in the lives of Pella Regional’s patients and visitors, not to mention the employees.

“We couldn’t do without our volunteers,” said Rosa Veenstra, Volunteer Supervisor. “They help out in a variety of ways throughout Pella Regional. They are a great asset to several departments.”

Pella Regional volunteers welcome patients and visitors, staff the gift shop, bring snacks and knitted items to new families in obstetrics, visit with hospice patients and families, and so much more.

“We are truly grateful for all the work our volunteers do to make everything run smoothly,” said Veenstra. “We appreciate their willingness to share their time with us and we cannot thank them enough!”
