Lindie Olson Receives Quarterly DAISY Award

Lindie Olsen, Daisy RecipientPella, Iowa-- Pella Regional Health Center is proud to announce that Lindie Olson, resident of Oskaloosa, in the Family Birthing Center is a DAISY recipient. The DAISY program is a national award, given at the local level, to registered nurses who exemplify extraordinary nursing. The focus is on the special touches and human consideration that these nurses give to their patients.

Excerpt from Lindie Olson’s nomination:
“Lindie was my labor and delivery nurse for my third child. Lindie helped me through my whole labor. She made my experience at Pella Regional a great one. She not only interacted with me, but also my husband and sister. I was so scared to get my first epidural. She helped me through my fear and made me feel good about it. Lindie is an amazing nurse. She has a great bedside manner and is very passionate about her job. She really does care about her patients, their babies, and the loved ones that are with them.”

Olson received a certificate that reads: "In deep appreciation of all you do, who you are, and the incredibly meaningful difference you make in the lives of so many people." She was also given a sculpture called A Healer’s Touch, hand-carved by artists of the Shona Tribe in Africa.
