Jacklyn Lowe-- March Shining Star for Pella Regional
PELLA, Iowa— Jacklyn Lowe, Therapy Services, was selected as March Shining Star by co-workers at Pella Regional Health Center.
Lowe, resident of Knoxville, was nominated based on Attitude, Appearance, Commitment, and Sense of Ownership.
Excerpts from her nomination:
“Jackie goes above and beyond for all of her patients. Our speech therapists request and hopefully obtain medical authorization from insurance companies in order for our patients to receive speech therapy. Recently, a patient who is medically necessary for speech therapy was denied coverage. Jackie challenged the insurance company over and over, giving them information, and even teaching them about the device the patient uses to communicate with everyone. Jackie's efforts were successful, and this wouldn’t have been the case without her commitment to her patient, their family and her job!”
“Jackie is a great co-worker and an asset to the team. She is always willing to go the extra mile, whether that be making individualized therapy materials or exchanging endless phone calls to obtain insurance authorizations for children who very much benefit from her services. She has a never-give-up attitude, and is willing to do whatever needs to be done.”
Shining Star is a reward and recognition program at Pella Regional designed to acknowledge an employee each month that demonstrates outstanding standards of behavior and inspires others to do their best.
Lowe will receive a $100 gift, a plaque, and will automatically be included in the Shining Star of the Year award.
