Debra Borton, Director of Foundation and Volunteer Services
PELLA, Iowa— Pella Regional Health Center has named Debra Borton to the role of Director of Foundation and Volunteer Services. Job responsibilities include administration of foundation programs, community partnerships, fundraising, networking, communications, and advocacy. Borton will also be the Auxiliary board’s liaison and provide oversight to the gift shop and volunteer services.
Borton has more than 25 years of leadership experience, most recently as the Manager of Public Relations at Pella Regional. Prior to that, Borton held the Marketing and Public Relations Director role at Central Iowa Healthcare where she also served as the Auxiliary Liaison and Volunteer Program Director.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to be at the helm of the Foundation supporting Pella Regional Health Center’s vision to lead the region in providing compassionate service and clinical excellence. I look forward to building lifelong community relationships and expanding engagement in the Foundation by connecting donors to health and wellness causes they care about,” said Borton.
Borton has a variety of experience in community relations, advocacy, branding, marketing, communications, event management, strategic planning, media relations, market research and crisis communications. She has served on national and community non-profit boards, in addition to board committees including board chairwomen of the Marshalltown Chamber of Commerce. Borton received her Associate of Arts Degree from Marshalltown Community College.
