CT Accreditation in Medical Imaging at Pella Regional

PELLA, Iowa – Medical Imaging at Pella Regional Health Center has been awarded accreditation in computed tomography (CT) as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). CT is a noninvasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and tailor treatments for various medical conditions.

The accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded to facilities meeting ACR guidelines after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs are assessed.

“This accreditation is important to us because we want our patients to know that Pella Regional meets extremely high standards for imaging quality and safety,” said Jeff Bender, Director of Medical Imaging at Pella Regional. “This is a vigorous review process to ensure that we meet nationally-accepted standards of care. Our services meet and exceed quality assurance and safety guidelines.”
