A surgery patient from Pella Regional

Sorry I Waited So Long

Linda Ver Heul, resident of Pella, considers herself “old-school.” She explains that she’s of an age where it’s uncomfortable to discuss things of a personal medical nature, making it difficult to seek help. She realized something was really wrong in 2009 but waited until September of 2013 to have a hysterectomy along with significant repairs.

Helping Patients Navigate the Insurance Maze

Most insurance policies today have significantly higher co-pays and deductibles resulting in larger out-of-pocket expenses for you. At Pella Regional, we want to help you be prepared for the cost of your medical procedure. The Patient Advocate helps define the cost and payment process for you before you have your procedure so there are no financial surprises after you leave the hospital. By looking at your specific insurance situation and your doctor's recommended procedure, the Patient Advocate can estimate your actual cost and work with you to find the best method of payment.
