Update on Construction of Long Term Care at Pella Regional Health Center
Date: November 23, 2009
PELLA, Iowa— Long Term Care at Pella Regional Health Center is currently undergoing construction and renovation. To be able to keep the construction area separate from the residents during the remodel, the unit is not able to add new residents as rooms become open.
The oldest area of Long Term Care, dating back to 1961 and 1966 will no longer be used for residential care after December 2009.
“We apologize for inconveniences experienced during this time,” said Mary Jo Foster, Director of Nursing for Long Term Care. “Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our facility for our current and future residents.”
Once the construction is complete at the end of the year, the renovated area will open and there will be an opportunity for new residents to move in as rooms are vacated. If you have any further questions, please call Elaine Malek, BSW, Social Worker for Long Term Care at 641-628-6661.
