Dr. Dykstra completed medical school at the University of South Dakota. He went on to complete his residency at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

He also has 5 years of experience with occupational medicine in Ft. Madison, Iowa.
