Marsha completed her bachelor of science degree at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (today known as Des Moines University).
Marsha is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE).

She is active within the community in giving educational seminars at industry work sites, health fairs and civic group meetings.

In 2002, Marsha was named PA of the year by the Iowa PA Society. She is also a member of the American Endocrine Society of Physician Assistants.
