We value everyone on our team and have taken great care to develop a comprehensive employee benefits package. In addition to the traditional health and dental benefits, Pella Regional Health Center offers a full package of other benefits for you and your family. From tax-deferred savings plans to a generous paid time off account to cover you when you need to be away from work, we believe in the importance of providing our employees with the best benefits possible to help support a healthy, balanced work-family life.
All in all, we're proud of the benefits we offer because we know how important they are to you. If you would like to know more, one of our Human Resources representatives would be happy to talk with you in more detail. In the meantime, here are some of the highlights of our benefits package:
Medical & Dental… covering you and your family's insurance needs 1st of the month following your date of hire or the date you become eligible. Must work a minimum of 32 hours per week.
Flexible Spending Accounts… offering tax deferred savings for day care and medical expenses 1st of the month following your date of hire. Re-enrollment occurs annually. Must work a minimum of 16 hours per week.
Retirement Plan… a pension plan and tax-deferred annuity program that helps you prepare for retirement Tax Deferred Annuity is available to you upon hire. You will receive a contribution from PRHC into your retirement account, once you have worked one year for a minimum of 1,000 hours (and attained age of 21 years old).
Paid Time Off… including time away from work for vacations, for your own illness or for a family member's illness. You begin earning PTO hours as soon as you begin employment (must work a minimum of 16 hours per week). You may use paid time away from work after 6 months of employment.
Life Insurance… including basic coverage for you, your spouse and your children with the option to purchase more on a voluntary basis. You may purchase your own life insurance policy (for you, your spouse and/or your dependents) first of the month following date of hire. Life insurance is provided by the facility after you have been employed by us for 3 years in any non-management position.
Disability Insurance… coverage for any long term disability 1st of the month after your hire date. Coverage provides you with partial salary protection in the event of a disabling illness or injury.
Tuition Reimbursement… supporting your additional education efforts. Available after 90 days of employment as long as you work an average of 16 hours per week or more.
