Another way we gauge patient satisfaction is through a survey. Pella Regional measures patient satisfaction through a company that is independent from the hospital—Press Ganey Associates. Press Ganey conducts mail surveys of a random sample of our patients throughout the year. Not every patient receives a survey for every visit.
Surveys ask patients to rate their satisfaction in every element of their visit. The rating scale ranges from a high score of 5 to a low score of 1. The surveys are sent directly to Press Ganey. They tally, tabulate and send us our results, along with comments. The reports also compare our results to other hospitals.
