Pella Regional Pharmacist Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy

PELLA, Iowa— Tracey Campbell, PharmD, Pharmacist at Pella Regional Health Center, has achieved the designation of BCPS (Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy Specialty). Having attained the board certification designation, Campbell is now identified as a pharmacist with an in-depth body of knowledge in the area of pharmacotherapy. She is the first pharmacist at Pella Regional to achieve the distinction of being board certified.

“A board certification in pharmacotherapy is a great accomplishment. We’re all very excited for Tracey,” said Jolene Furr, manager of Pharmacy at Pella Regional. “It really shows her dedication to our patients and the quality of their care here at Pella Regional.”

The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) develops and administers exams for six recognized specialties, one being pharmacotherapy. The success rate of passing the exam stands at 66% with a total of just over 19,000 BPS board certified pharmacists in the US currently holding this designation.
