Marsha Bradley--October Shining Star for Pella Regional

Marsha Bradley, Shining StarPELLA, Iowa— Marsha Bradley, Nursing, was selected as October Shining Star by co-workers at Pella Regional Health Center.

Bradley, resident of Pella, was nominated based on Attitude, Appearance, Commitment, and Sense of Ownership.

Excerpts from her nomination:
“Marsha Bradley is a shining star to the nursing departments of Pella Regional! She seamlessly coordinates the staffing for Emergency, Obstetrics and Med/Surg by communicating with many staff members to make sure that each department is staffed appropriately. For Obstetrics specifically, she has gone above and beyond the past few months as we have been going through a big transition in staffing and through an exciting but unending baby boom. Not only does she coordinate the schedule, but helps the managers and each staff member come up with a schedule that works for them and their family’s needs. Over the past several months, she has often worked many extra hours to accommodate staffing changes, and has catered to each individual’s needs with scheduling. It takes a special person to coordinate work schedules for 135+ Pella Regional people! We couldn’t do it without her!”

Shining Star is a reward and recognition program at Pella Regional designed to acknowledge an employee each month that demonstrates outstanding standards of behavior and inspires others to do their best.

Bradley will receive a $100 gift, a plaque, and will automatically be included in the Shining Star of the Year award.
