Lacee Ambers -- November Shining Star for Pella Regional

Lacee Ambers, November Shining StarPELLA, Iowa— Lacee Ambers, Medical Clinic in Knoxville, was selected as November Shining Star by co-workers at Pella Regional Health Center.

Ambers, resident of Knoxville, was nominated based on Attitude, Appearance, Commitment, and Sense of Ownership.

Excerpts from her nomination:
“Lacee has an irrepressible enthusiasm for her work. We are the beneficiaries of several organizational improvements and innovations because of her energy. There is no “down time” in Lacee’s work day.

She consistently performs duties well above her job description. She manages many additional projects in the office including the My Pella Health Patient Portal. She familiarized herself with her personal portal for the purpose of helping patients, personally and in real time. She is always the first to say "I'll do it."

One example of Lacee’s spirit of kindness in action was when she helped a patient who was confused and needed help with a form for work. Lacee was able to help and the patient was thrilled with the outcome. Her delight in helping the patient was infectious and wonderful to observe.

She is always willing to do anything co-workers ask of her. She helps out in the other clinics as well and is always looking for ways to make processes easier/better, and always with a smile.”

Shining Star is a reward and recognition program at Pella Regional designed to acknowledge an employee each month that demonstrates outstanding standards of behavior and inspires others to do their best.

Ambers will receive a $100 gift, a plaque, and will automatically be included in the Shining Star of the Year award.
