Knitters and Crocheters Needed!

Knit Crochet Baby CocoonPELLA, Iowa –Pella Regional Health Center’s Auxiliary is hosting a “Knit-In and Crochet-In” event on Friday, May 16 at the hospital from 9 am to noon. People are invited to bring their needles and yarn to help make baby cocoons and hats for the newest members of our community.

"The Auxiliary has provided every baby born at Pella Regional with a handmade hat and blanket," said Mary Glendening, a member of the Auxiliary Board. "Because we know that so many people love to knit and crochet, we've added these adorable baby cocoons to items that we can make for our babies. We will have patterns available for both cocoons and hats at the Knit-In."

With a record 413 babies in 2013, the Auxiliary is reaching out to the public to help make these special items for our newborns. Check in at the front desk of Pella Regional Health Center at 404 Jefferson Street.
