Infant Massage Classes at Pella Regional

PELLA, Iowa –Pella Regional Health Center is starting Infant Massage Classes for parents/caregivers to learn techniques for massaging infants up to age 2. All classes are free and held from 10 – 11 am in the Classroom at Pella Regional. The first class will be held Dec 2, 9 and 16.

The group will be led by Joyce Berkenes, Certified Infant Massage Instructor and Social Worker at Pella Regional.

“Numerous studies have shown the many developmental benefits of positive touch as part of baby’s early life. Infant massage is one of the most natural and pleasant methods of providing this early nurturing touch,” said Berkenes. “This class will have a relaxed atmosphere where parents can feel free to take care of their infant’s needs and share parenting experiences.”
