Gary ElisesPELLA, Iowa— Gary Elises, Rehabilitation, was recently selected by a group of his co-workers as the March 2014 Shining Star at Pella Regional Health Center.

Excerpt from his nomination:

“Gary exemplifies our mission statement at Pella Regional. He really can and does heal people through his compassionate physical therapy skills. I have patients call all the time to come back to see him. They may not remember his name but they know how to describe him...kind, compassionate, funny and really knows his stuff. He takes time to make sure patients are comfortable and really understand their care. What I love most about Gary is that he always has a smile and he is willing to help you with anything, both here and outside of Pella Regional.”

Shining Star is a reward and recognition program at Pella Regional designed to acknowledge an employee each month that demonstrates outstanding standards of behavior and inspires others to do their best.

Elises will receive a $100 gift, an ad in the local paper, a plaque, and will automatically be included in the Shining Star of the Year award.
