Community Health Needs Assessment for Marion County

PELLA, Iowa –– Over the next four months, Pella Regional Health Center is partnering with Marion County Public Health to conduct a comprehensive community health needs assessment. In July, approximately 1,000 households from will receive a comprehensive health care survey in the mail. This assessment will guide our county in addressing current and future health care needs.

“We hope that residents of Marion County will take advantage of this opportunity to provide input into the future of health care and services we offer,” said Bridget Drafahl, Nurse Manager at Pella Regional.

The information will assist local health care and related service providers, community organizations, policymakers, and residents in making informed decisions on improving access and minimizing barriers to care, creating efficiencies in the delivery of care, and participating in the development of local health care improvement strategies. VVV Research & Development INC, an independent health research consulting firm, has been retained to conduct and complete this assessment.
