Ashley Arkema-- Pella Regional’s February Shining Star

PELLA, Iowa— Ashley Arkema, Human Resources, was recently selected by a group of her co-workers as the February 2014 Shining Star at Pella Regional Health Center.

Arkema, resident of Reasnor, was nominated based on her Attitude, Commitment, and Sense of Ownership.

Excerpt from her nomination:

“During the past six months Ashley has worked diligently and professionally to transition multiple Long Term Care employees to WesleyLife. This must be done by a professional who can understand and respect the emotion that comes with change of job, change in the delivery of care and change of leadership. That person consistently has been Ashley. There are few people who are able to demonstrate that kind of professionalism over the period of several months. I am very fortunate to have had Ashley by my side as a friend, cheerleader and critical thinker during the transition.”

Shining Star is a reward and recognition program at Pella Regional designed to acknowledge an employee each month that demonstrates outstanding standards of behavior and inspires others to do their best.

Arkema will receive a $100 gift, an ad in the local paper, a plaque, and will automatically be included in the Shining Star of the Year award.
