Angie Holterhaus-- Pella Regional’s December Shining Star

Angie HolterhausPELLA, Iowa— Angie Holterhaus, Skilled Care, was recently selected by a group of her co-workers as the December 2013 Shining Star at Pella Regional Health Center.

Holterhaus, resident of Pella, was nominated based on her Attitude, Commitment, and Sense of Ownership.

Excerpt from her nomination:

“Angie has gone above and beyond for all our skilled care patients. She truly cares about them. If you need anything done or have a question, Angie is the gal to go to. She will find out the answer or get things done for you as staff or for the patients. Today Angie spent a good portion on the day making sure tests were ran on a patient who had a new stroke. She was calling the physicians and making sure other staff and family were also aware. Angie stays late to make sure things are completed for the day and has come in on her days off to help out when needed. Angie is a good team player and we feel that she is a great member of our skilled team at Pella Regional.”

Shining Star is a reward and recognition program at Pella Regional designed to acknowledge an employee each month that demonstrates outstanding standards of behavior and inspires others to do their best.

Holterhaus will receive a $100 gift, an ad in the local paper, a plaque, and will automatically be included in the Shining Star of the Year award.
