Amanda Schwerdtfeger --November Shining Star for Pella Regional

Amanda Schwerdtfeger, Shining StarPELLA, Iowa— Amanda Schwerdtfeger, Medical Clinics, was selected as November Shining Star by co-workers at Pella Regional Health Center.

Schwerdtfeger, resident of Pella, was nominated based on Attitude, Appearance, Commitment, and Sense of Ownership.

Excerpts from her nomination:
“Amanda Schwerdtfeger takes going above and beyond to a new level. As Service Excellence Coordinator, she worked diligently to help our patients work through their concerns, as well as guide managers in appropriate service recovery for various situations. She is a strong advocate for our patients and brings a positive perspective to the process. When Amanda’s role changed to working full-time with clinic data she continued covering the role of service excellence until the position could be filled. She did all of this with grace and a sense of ownership that is admirable. Both of her positions require a tremendous amount of time, mental fortitude and dedication to our mission. Amanda has done a tremendous job juggling all this over the past several months. Her commitment to the Pella Regional team and dedication to working toward positive outcomes for our patients is commendable.”

Shining Star is a reward and recognition program at Pella Regional designed to acknowledge an employee each month that demonstrates outstanding standards of behavior and inspires others to do their best.

Schwerdtfeger will receive a $100 gift, a plaque, and will automatically be included in the Shining Star of the Year award.
